Yes. In Sales channels > Agentic you can turn off "Allow Shopify to manage for me" and manage channels individually. Shopify notes that if you turn off Shopify Catalog access, it can take up to 7 days before your product data stops being shared.

Does blocking GPTBot or other AI crawlers remove my products from ChatGPT?

No. Shopify states that blocking AI crawlers in robots.txt affects only open-web discoverability and does not stop Shopify Catalog from sending your product data. It does stop those crawlers from reading your pages, including the help and policy pages that answer buying questions.

Will an AI assistant buy from my store without the customer?

Not through Shopify's own agent instructions. The default Shopify robots.txt tells agents that checkouts are for humans and that payment requires explicit buyer approval, and the UCP flow it describes ends with the buyer approving payment.

No. The agentic channels are built into the Shopify admin. The work is making sure the right products are eligible and that their data and your policies are complete and consistent.
